Blue Mountain Wildlife needs your help! If we are to keep these treasures from disappearing, we need the support of people like you. Fortunately, there are many ways you can help:
You can become a member. You can become a member. A strong and healthy membership means our voices and message can be heard by community leaders. Members are updated on our efforts with our quarterly newsletter. They are invited to participate in all Blue Mountain Wildlife events, as well as many events held by associated groups and organizations. An annual adult membership costs only $7.00. Annual memberships for Students (kids under 18) and Seniors (adults 65 and over) cost only $5.00. Annual Family memberships (which include all members of the immediate family) are a great deal at only $20.00. And annual Corporate memberships are available for only $100.00. Corporate members receive a business card-sized ad space in each Blue Mountain Wildlife Newsletter and a link on this website. We also offer a Lifetime Membership for only $250.00. These memberships include a tasteful gold-plated pin that you can wear and display with pride.

You can become a volunteer. You can become a volunteer. Blue Mountain Wildlife is currently working on several projects, all of which depend on volunteers. There are big projects--like maintaining the Bartram Trail and Therman Madeira Switchback Trail through the Kernsville Dam Recreation Area, construction of outdoor classrooms and a boat launch, and improving the road and parking areas. There are the fundraisers—like the Northern Berks QUAD Games—that help us raise money to pay for everything. There are also the day-to-day activities that are so important to keeping the organization on track and moving forward-trash removal and maintenance, newsletter and website publishing, fundraising, membership, and community relations. If you have a skill, we can find a use for it.

You can become a business partner. We are looking for corporate and business sponsors willing to help their community. You can help sponsor an event or make a donation of labor, equipment or materials to our many projects. We appreciate our business partners and ensure they are properly recognized for their contributions.

You can become a non-profit partner. We are looking for community groups and non-profit organizations to partner with to accomplish common goals. Blue Mountain Wildlife is proud to support the Hamburg and Northern Berks community. We realize that local organizations can often accomplish more through cooperation than through individual effort and gladly offer our support to other organizations where we can.

You can support our events. Blue Mountain Wildlife holds or takes part in many local events throughout the year. Come out to our Earth Day Clean-Up, stay fit by participating in the Northern Berks QUAD Games or just drop by our stand at the Hamburg ThawFest, Bear Creek Festival, the Central Berks Community Day or Taste of Hamburg-er Festival In doing so, you show your support for our organization and the local community. You can donate. Perhaps you don’t have the time to help publish a newsletter and maybe a clean-up isn’t your cup of tea. A generous donation is still a wonderful way to demonstrate your commitment to helping the wildlife and wetlands of the Kernsville Dam Recreation Area. All donations are tax-deductible.
